There has been some buzz amongst foodies for the last 2 weeks about a new food cart that unceremoniously appeared across from SFU’s downtown campus at Granville and Pender. With no apparent real name, $2.85 Hamburger Cart (or as I like to call it, Hamburger 285) is serving up simple hamburgers and cheeseburgers at a refreshingly low price – $2.85 or $3.50 to make it cheesy!
What I ate
- A grilled burger patty, served on a toasted bun, with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce
- It won’t change how you define a burger but that doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. The patty has a nice char and isn’t dry, the bun is nicely toasted, and there teriyaki sauce on it!
This new food cart is pumping out $3 burgers and at the price there is nothing anyone can complain about. It’s a good burger and stands out amongst all the other food trucks and carts in Vancouver!
